Carter Darell McFarlane, 57

Carter Darell McFarlane was born in March 14, 1956 in Baudette, MN to Don and Carol (Bruber) McFarlane. He unexpectedly went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at the age of 57. Carter attended school in Pitt and Baudette. After school Carter entered the United States Marine Corps. and served 4 years. Upon returning home he began working at Marvin Windows in July of 1978 where he worked until his passing. Carter married the love of his life Ronda (Pieper) McFarlane on February 14, 1999.
Carter accepted Jesus Christ as Savior at a young age. He faithfully would rise early each morning to spend time in prayer and Bible reading before starting his day. He often shared his beliefs with those he met. Carter had many hobbies including woodworking, hunting, camping, fishing and playing cards. Carter loved family gatherings and cherished spending time with them. He will be forever remembered as a loving, kind and compassionate man who was always willing to help a friend in need. Carter attended and was involved in Woodland Bible Church of Warroad.
Carter is survived by his wife, Ronda McFarlane; children, Joshua and Sarah McFarlane; grandchildren, Blake Mihelich and Madillyn Rees Uren; step-daughters, Melanie Roberts of Roslyn, WA, Jennifer (Daren) Rees of Puyallup, WA, Liz (Martin) Rees of Roslyn, WA; step-son, Clayton Rees of Roseau, MN; father, Donald McFarlane of Pitt, MN; sisters, Sherry (DeWayne) Kliewer of West Linn, OR, Lane (Ron) Heagy of Cathlamet, WA; brothers, Craig (Kim) McFarlane of Warroad, MN, Kent (Brenda) McFarlane of Warroad, MN, Reed (Blanche) McFarlane of Baudette, MN, Bradley McFarlane of Cass Lake, MN; as well as many special nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Carol McFarlane; brother, Hugh McFarlane; three infant sisters, Donetta, Linnea and Launa.
A Funeral Service for Carter McFarlane of Salol, MN was held on Saturday, July 6, 2013 At 10:00AM at Woodland Bible Church in Warroad, MN. Visitation was Friday, July 5, 2013 from 5-7PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Warroad, MN.
