Roger G. Kegler, 63

Roger G. Kegler, 63, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at his home.
 
Roger Gordon Kegler was born May 28, 1950 in Northwood, ND the son of Gordon Earl and Grace Mary (Honda) Kegler. He was raised in the Larimore, ND and Arvilla, ND area and graduated from Larimore High School in 1968.  He entered the United States Navy in January 1969 and served aboard the USS Constitution during the Viet Nam War.  He was honorably discharged from military service at San Diego, CA on December 11, 1972.  He returned to Emerado, ND and was employed for many years with Base View Champlain and 20 years with Emerado –Arvilla Lion’s Club Gaming.  Also, he was employed for 10 years on the farm of Dick and Betty Nelson and for the last 15 years on the farm of Bobby and Mary Boushee.
 
He is survived by his mother, Grace Kegler; his sisters, Karen Sweeney, Brenda Rolland, Julie Moen, all of Grand Forks, ND; sister-in-law, Sandy Kegler, Crookston, MN; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
 
He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Kegler; a brother, Daniel Kegler; brother-in-law, Dennis Sweeney and a nephew, James Sweeney.
 
Memorial Liturgy: 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2013 in the Historic Norman Funeral Chapel-Gregory J. Norman Funeral Chapel.
Family Greeting:  One hour prior to the liturgy in the funeral chapel on Friday.
Military Honors:  Members of the American Legion Post 157, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3817 and the North Dakota National Guard.
Interment:  Bellevue Cemetery, Larimore, ND at a later date.
