Lloyd J. Gregoire, 81, of East Grand Forks, MN died Monday, August 5, 2013 at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.
Lloyd Joseph Gregoire was born on November 12, 1931 in Grand Forks, ND the son of Delbert “Bert” and Effie Gregoire. Lloyd grew up in East Grand Forks and attended Sacred Heart School, graduating with the Class of 1949. On November 14, 1951 he was united in marriage to Ethel Jeffrey at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in East Grand Forks. Lloyd owned and operated Bert’s Truck Equipment in East Grand Forks and retired in 1990. They made their home in East Grand Forks and spent retirement at Maple Lake, and in Mesa, AZ.
One of his greatest joys was watching his children and grandchildren making memories at the lake.
Family members who survive Lloyd are his children, Terri Kay Hlavac, of East Grand Forks, MN, Joy (Jay) Ewing of Moorhead, MN, Renee (Karl) Kringlen of East Grand Forks, MN, Todd Gregoire of East Grand Forks, MN, Danny (Stacie) Gregoire of Moorhead, MN, Karen (Duane) Walden of East Grand Forks, MN, Wayne (Marsha) Gregoire of East Grand Forks, MN, Kent (Georgia) Gregoire of Moorhead, MN, Scott (Sandy) Gregoire of Grand Forks, ND; 29 Grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, his mother Effie Gregoire; siblings, Jill (Rod) Devos of Grand Forks, ND, Jack (Delphine) Gregoire of East Gand Forks, MN and Monte (Betty) Gregoire of Grand Forks, ND and several nieces & nephews.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his father, Delbert “Bert” Gregoire; wife, Ethel Gregoire; sister, Cindy Olson; brother, Lyle Gregoire; nephew, Brian Olson
In Lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or to donor’s choice.
Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 with a 6:30 PM Prayer Service on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, East Grand Forks, MN and also one hour prior Funeral Service on Wednesday.
