Esther Avery, 81

Esther was born April 28th, 1922, the 7th child of 13 children to Howard and Eva (Markley) Blossom.  She learned early the value of work.  At age 10 other than helping at home she was hired as an ironing maid, first of many occupations.
 
She was married to Tony Jezdik in Jun 1938 and they had 3 children.  Besides being a mother and homemaker she helped to build the family home and other farm buildings and worked on the farm.  She also worked at Hallmark Cards, waitressed, clerked at hardware and grocery stores, and cooked at Pitt School.  In her spare time she volunteered for school, community and church.  She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting knitting, woodworking, ceramics and leather craft.
 
Esther passed away Septmber 1, 2013 at Lakewood Care Center.
 
Esther was preceded in death by her parents, husbands; Tony Jezdik, Slim Brazie and Vern Avery, brothers, Homer, Floyd, Taylor, Hubert and Howard.  Sisters: Buelah, Violet, Daisy and Lavella and Son, Joseph Jezdik.
 
She is survived by sisters: Sheila Schmitendorf and Iris Vlasshaert, brother Lyle Blossom, daughters Loretta (Kent) Rioux  and Judy (Bob) Dickson, step-children, grand, great grand, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their families.
 
A Funeral service for Esther M. Avery of Baudette, MN will be held on Monday, September 9, 2013 at First Lutheran Church in Baudette, MN at 2:00PM. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at Elm Park Cemetery in Baudette, MN.
