David Ardean Jaros, 66

David Ardean Jaros passed away at his home in Warroad, MN on September 29, 2013 at the age of 66.
Dave was born on February 12, 1947 in Roseau, MN to Esther (Christianson) and John Jaros. He grew up in Warroad and graduated from Warroad High School in 1965. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge in 1968. He and Lynn (Brouillette) were married on September 16, 1972. Following his service, he moved back to Warroad and worked for Bill Stoskopf and Polaris before starting his career as a truck driver and laborer for Marvin Windows and Doors. Due to health reasons, Dave suspended his work last February with nearly 43 years of work for Marvin’s.
Dave had a passion for hunting, fishing and camping. Most of his family time was spent in the woods or on the water. He enjoyed spending time out in the Beltrami Forest. He also cherished all the time spent in Birchdale fishing for sturgeon and sitting around a campfire telling tales. He was proud of his family and loved to tell stories about them. He enjoyed playing cards and many other family activities. He will be remembered as a hard-worker and a generous man.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Jaros of Warroad; son, John (Brenda) Jaros of Warroad; grandchildren, Cheyenne, Aspen and JP; sisters, Sandra (Rolland) Huerd of Warroad and Norine (Ted) Lockrem of Minneapolis; and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 5th at 2 PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Warroad. Visitation will be on Friday from 5-7 PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Warroad. Interment will be at the America Cemetery.
