Paul Omer Thompson, 67

    Paul Omer Thompson (67) of Coon Rapids, MN passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the home of his cousin, Greg and Mary Lunderville in Mondovi, WI. He was born September 26, 1946 in Eau Claire, WI; son of Omer and Thelma (Torkelson) Thompson. On December 31, 1982 he married Becky. He was a salesman, farm laborer and worked at lumber yards. For over twenty years, Paul worked at Lincoln Del in St. Louis Park, MN. He later worked at Apria Home Health Care and Medical Stat, retiring in 2006.
    Paul was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Blaine, MN and a member of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association. He enjoyed playing cards, hunting and fishing. He loved his family especially his three great nephews and his great niece.
    He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Becky Thompson of Coon Rapids, MN; brother, Luther Thompson (friend, Sandy Rolstad) of Woodbury, MN; sister, Karen (Patrick) Callahan of Croton-On-Hudson, NY; four nieces, Christine Thompson (husband-Matt Johnson), Courtney (Pastor Chad) Anderson, Anna and Amy Callahan; three great nephews, Daniel, Paul, John Anderson; great niece, Sella Anderson; cousins and other relatives.
    He is preceded in death by his parents, Omer and Thelma (Torkelson) Thompson.
    Memorial service was held at Christ Lutheran Church, 641 89th Ave. N.E. Blaine, MN 55434.
    Memorial services will also be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2013 at First Lutheran church of Karlstad, MN 306 Roosevelt Ave. W. Karlstad, MN 56732.
