Marvin Jerome Anderson was born in Greenbush, Minn. in 1927 to parents John and Margaret (DeRaad) Anderson. Marvin died February 11, 2014. Marvin worked the family farm, raising beef cattle with his father, and also ran a trucking business for most of his life, except for a brief time living in Minneapolis. After returning to Greenbush he also worked for a short time as a lumberjack and for the phone company.
Marvin continued to manage his farm until its sale in 2005. He lived at LifeCare Manor. There he enjoyed the company of his neighbors, including a few cousins and was well looked after by his caregiver and friend, Joy Sand.
Marvin was a baseball fan, especially the Minnesota Twins. He also enjoyed his extended family with its great-nieces and nephews: Ryan, Maggie, Matthew, Katie, Payton, Piper, Pierce and Parker.
Marvin is survived by his sister Delphine of Evansville, WI, and her children, David (Elaine) Jensen, Susan (Mark) Gray and Nancy (Bob) Key.
Interment will be held at a later date.
