Brooklyn – Lois E. Sjoblom, age 83

Brooklyn – Lois E. Sjoblom, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2014. She was born on January 12, 1931 in Rice Lake, the daughter of Vance and Grace (Coleman) Pluntz. Lois married Vernon Sjoblom on January 8, 1972. She worked for Unysis for 26 years in computer manufacturing. Lois is survived by her mother, Grace Youngblood, age 104; cousins, James Copus and Harry (Cindy) Anderson; three sisters-in-law Kathleen Pluntz, Eleanor (Adolph) Kostrzewski, Adreen Lefrooth; brother-in-law, Arlie (Carol) Simonson; nephew, Rich (Alison) Pluntz; three great-nieces and a great-nephew; and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; her brother, Richard; and her cousin, Judy Copus. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, with Rev. Josh Tilley presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will take place on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 12:05 p.m. at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minn. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Oregon Senior Center. Online condolences can be made at
