Karlyn Joy Hawks passed away on June 22nd as the result of a traffic accident at the age of 36.
Karlyn was born on May 9, 1978 in Baudette, MN to Terri (Laffin) and Gerry Lalli. She grew up by Williams, and attended school in Baudette, graduating from high school in 1996. She’s been there for the last 18 years. She and Russell were married on August 12, 2000.
Karlyn loved life! She enjoyed traveling, and has been taking summer trips out west for the last 10 years; all in the mountains of the west. She loved her dogs almost more than anything. She also enjoyed running 5K’s, playing volleyball, Zumba, yoga, snow shoeing, shopping, and will be remembered as a very happy person that helped other people. She liked her work at Marvin’s and her many friends and co-workers she was able to see every day. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Russell of Roosevelt; mother, Terri Lalli of Williams, MN; brother, Daniel Lalli of Minneapolis, MN; grandmother, Katie Laffin of Baudette; in-laws, and Norval and Jean Hawks of Roosevelt. She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald and brother, John.
