Beverly Jean Hansen, 70
Beverly Jean Hansen, 70, of International Falls, died on August 10th, 2014, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, surrounded by family and staff.
She was born on June 13th, 1944 in Twin Lakes, MN, to Elmer and Alyce Johnson.
Beverly loved fishing; she would always be the first one to catch a fish. She loved playing bingo with her friends and also playing cribbage, Whist, and Yahtzee with the family. She also loved crocheting scarves, hats, and blankets for family and friends.
Beverly belonged to the Nothwoods Bible Church in Ray, MN, and was a member of the Hardwig House. She retired from Northland Tackle in 2000.
She was united in marriage to Walter Gerald Hansen on November 13th, 1965.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Johnson of Karlstad, MN, Alyce (Snare) Johnson of Great Falls, MT; sisters, Barbara Roberts of Federal Way, WA, Linda Simonson of Eveleth, MN.
She is survived by her husband, Walter G. Hansen of International Falls, MN; sons, Bill Hansen of International Falls, MN, Bryon (Mark) Hansen, CA; daughters, Lori (Mike) Etienne of International Falls, MN; brother, Donavon (Tammie) Johnson of International Falls, MN; step daughter, Renita (Walley) Sarvala of Willow River, MN; granddaughter, Heather Krall of International Falls, MN; step-granddaughters, Kelly Sarvala of Willow River, MN, Brandi Etienne of International Falls, MN; special friend, Ellie Jensen of International Falls, MN; Many nieces and nephews and also great-nieces and nephews.
A burial will take place on Monday, August 18th, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Lyman Cemetery in Ray, MN (CR 3 UT 187, Ray, MN 56669), followed by a memorial service at 12:00 pm at the Northwoods Bible Church in Ray, MN.
In memoriam donations are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
