Carl Anderson, 99

Carl Anderson, 99, of Lake Bronson, Minnesota passed away at Karlstad
Healthcare Center early Friday morning, September 12, 2014. Carl
Willhelm Anderson was born October 20, 1914 in Jupiter Township of
Kittson County, Minnesota to Olaf and Selma (Davidson) Anderson.   
He attended country school and worked on area farms after completing
his education.  On October 20, 1945 (Carl’s Birthday) he married Alma
Pready at Lake Bronson.  The couple settled near Kennedy, Minnesota
where Carl and Marvin Bengtson farmed together for a short time.  In
1954 Carl and Alma bought a farm in Jupiter Township just a half mile
from where he was born.  They raised cattle and farmed small grains
there for many years.  In addition to his own farm,  Carl worked for
other area farmers and every winter worked for Larry Bogestad grading
potatoes. Carl entered the nursing home on August 26th of this year.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Lake Bronson.
    Family members include his wife, Alma; sons, Leland (Mary), Moorhead
and Clayton, Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Dale, Kevin, Matthew and
Heather; and great grandchildren, Braxton, Jayden, Bo, Elizabeth and
Sasha; as well as nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by
his brothers, Harry, Arthur, and Stanley; and sisters, Myrtle Johnson
and Pearl Larson.
    Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, September 16th, 2014 at
3:00 p.m. in Zion Lutheran Church, Lake Bronson.  Interment will be
in Riverside Cemetery, Lake Bronson.  Visitation will be held at the
church for one hour prior to the funeral service.  Rev. Kathy
Levenhagen, presiding; Corienne Jacobson, organist and Marjorie Hawk,
soloist.  Casket bearers will be Greg Anderson, Virgil Anderson,
Boris Bugara, Earl Mattson, Billy Adams and Dale Hultgren.  The
Austin Funeral Home of Hallock is in charge of arrangements
