Adeline Marie Skjordahl was born July 14, 1934 to Melvin and Violet Delia (Wicklund) Skjordahl in Greenbush, MN where she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith.
Adeline married David Dokken on August 24, 1966 and they settled in Roseau, MN, where they raised their daughters, Kristin and Stephanie. Adeline was a homemaker for many years while providing in-home daycare, as well as other jobs in the community. They were members of Messiah Lutheran Church in Roseau, MN. After retirement, they moved north of Baudette, MN and joined the Lake Road Chapel, north of Baudette.
She enjoyed retirement at the lake, the new friends that were made there and the many vacations taken over the years. Adeline was passionate about gardening, home decorating, reading and entertaining guests with her gourmet meals. She loved to cook and bake, especially lefse.
Adeline was called to our Lord and Savior’s heavenly house on November 7, 2014. She passed away peacefully at home at the age of 80. She is survived by her husband, David; daughters, Kristin Henning and Stephanie (Mickey) Breeden, both of New Ulm, MN; granddaughter, Paige Henning; brother-in-law, LuverneDokken; sister-in-law, Joan Dokken, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Viola Erickson; in-laws, Christine and Clarence Dokken; brother-in-law, Jerome Dokken; sister-in-law, Muriel Dokken.
