Barbara Jean Sayers, 75

On Sunday, November 9, 2014, at the Rainy River Hospital, Barbara Jean Sayers, 75, of Rainy River, Ontario, passed away peacefully.
Barb was born in Kearney, Nebraska on November 25, 1938 to Glen and Violet Gladson. She was united in marriage to Donald Sayers and together they resided in Rainy River for many years.
Barb worked at various jobs including housekeeping and cooking at local camps. She also worked for many years at the Rainy River Royal Canadian Legion and as a groundskeeper for the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Rainy River. She loved to garden and will be fondly remembered for her love of animals and her pets.
Barb will be greatly missed by her siblings Michael (Karen) and Pat, all of Baudette, MN; Pam (John) of California, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Glen and Violet, her husband Donald and siblings Glenna Marie and Eugene.
A Celebration of Barb’s life will be held on December 6, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. from the Lake of the Woods Community Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 118 4th Ave. NW, Baudette. Elder Dan Lesch will officiate.

Today, God gained a new beautiful angel with the sweetest and most kind-hearted soul. You can make anyone laugh and feel welcomed. You will forever be in my heart. I am so sorry I wasn’t around for your last days. I know you are in God’s hands now. Rest in Peace, Aunt Barbara. You will be missed forever and always. Love, Lakeeya Dean.

Clifton “Pete” McGuire
Clifton G. “Pete” McGuire passed away October 18, 2014 at KVH Hospital, Ellensburg, WA.
He was born July 17, 1922 on a farm in Williams, MN, to Gardner and Agnes McGuire. He graduated from the eighth grade at the Baudette School.
Clifton met Ruby Routier at a barn dance and married her in Minnesota. They would enjoy just over 50 wonderful years together and raised a daughter and two sons.
A celebration of Clifton’s life was held November 8 in Washington. Monetary donations can be made to KVH Hospice in Clifton’s name.
