Frances June (Mauer) Hahn

Frances June (Mauer) Hahn was born on June 19, 1929 on a farm near Foxhome, MN to Lawrence and Ellen (Lindholm) Mauer. She and Ralph Albert Hahn were married on June 19, 1946. They had fifteen children. June worked at various places including: Wikstrom Telephone Company as a phone operator, Land O’Lakes, Arctic Cat, and Marvin Windows and Doors. The family made their first home in Strandquist, MN, where they farmed, and later moved south of Warroad, MN. June has resided at the Warroad Senior Living Center since 2011.
June was a member of St. Mary’s parish in Warroad. She had an active faith life and participated in parish life wherever they lived. June was ever present in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren’s lives. Attending first communions, confirmations, birthdays, graduations, showers, and weddings was a full-time job. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing quilts, needle-work, watching and reading the news and religious material, and listening to music. In the early years of their marriage, Ralph and June enjoyed dancing. June loved to travel and was able to visit Alaska, Arizona, Texas, Illinois, Canada and other states along the way.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; two granddaughters; three grandsons; parents; and one brother. She is survived by her fifteen children, Carol (Marshall) Kukowski, Margaret (Howard) Dalager, Mary (Allan) Ernest, Steven (Lori) Hahn, Emily (Stephen) Sadoski, Joanne (Brian Erickson) Jarshaw, Paul (Alice) Hahn, Robert (Joyce) Hahn, Theresa (Ron) Johnson, Greg (LaRon) Hahn, Bernadette (Wade) Storey, Helen (Robert) Rowley, Dean (Heather) Hahn, Karen (Steven) Olson, and Angela (Glen) Smith; grandchildren, Bill, Eric, Aron, Katrina, Diane, Richard, Robert, Dana, Dawn, John, Christopher, Kyle, Karla, Craig, Theresa, Shari, Amy, Rachel, Wayne, Nikki, Murray, Lisa, Clay, Terri, Allison, Andy, John, Jordan, Kayla, Alex, Rani Jo, Brittny, Marshall, Madison, Derek, Deanna, Owen, Elizabeth, Edwina, Dominic, Christopher, David, Jeremy, Deidre, Corey, Andrea, Nick, Katie, Jacob, Luke, Vanessa, and Jennifer; many great-grandchildren; six sisters; and two brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 21st at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Warroad. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 prayer vigil at the church. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
