Clair Knight, of Warroad, MN died Friday, November 28, 2014 at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND, at the age of 92 years, 9 months, and 12 days.
Clair Knight was born Feb. 20, 1922 in Warroad, MN the son of Wayne L. and Josephine E. (Neumiller) Knight. He grew up and attended Bridges Rural School north of Williams, MN. He married Elvina Steele in Roseau, MN on July 20, 1944.
He lived most of his adult life in the Warroad area, with the exception of living four years in Washington State in the early 1960’s. He operated heavy equipment in the area, worked at Marvin Windows for 10 years and was a welder and did mechanical repair work throughout his life.
He is survived by children, William (Linda) Knight, Cynthia (Tim) Prothero, both of the Northwest Angle, Joseph “Jay” Knight, Daniel (Julie) Knight, and Harlan Knight all of Warroad, MN, 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, siblings Gail (Doris)Knight, Frankfurt, IL, Beverly Carlson, Williams, MN, and Karen (Larry) Page, East Grand Forks, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Elton and Jack, wife Elvina and infant son.
Memorial Service: 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Woodland Bible Church, Warroad, MN.
Visitation: One hour prior to Memorial Service at the Church.
Inurnment: America Cemetery, Warroad, MN.
