Ronald Ervin Brown, 74

Ronald Ervin Brown was born on March 16, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, to Selma Johnson and Albert Vestor Brown.  He was raised on a farm at Greenbush, Minn., and was a 1958 graduate of Greenbush High School.
A working man throughout his life, he served four years in the United States Marine Corp ending his tour in Camp Pendelton, then making California his home.  Ron was the “phone man” employed for 44 years with Pacific Bell, later AT&T, and lastly retired from Verizon.  Even after retirement he would keep busy always going the extra mile in everything he did.
Ron was married to the mother of his children, Carolyn Marie Brown, for 33 years until her passing in 1999.
Ron and his family joined the Vista Assembly Church Family in 1997.   A devoted man of faith and prayer, he served many years as a prayer counselor for Trinity Broadcasting Network.  He loved reading his Bible.  Devotion was very important to Ron.  He often spent time sitting in his garage on a stool or early in the morning before everyone was awake.  He made time for the Word of God.
After returning home in 2000 from a visit to the Holy Lands and having a short courtship, he married his lovely Suzanne with whom he expressed a generous kind heart and devoted love.  As active members at Vista Assembly, they enjoyed the Prime Timers and were committed to the mission groups.  They also enjoyed taking extensive vacations visiting family and friends, and were deeply committed to the care of one another even up to the moment Jesus took Ron home.
Ronald Ervin Brown passed away on December 13, 2014.  Memorial services were held at the Vista Assembly Church in Vista, Calif., on Saturday, January 20, 2015.
He is survived by his second wife Suzanne, his daughter Lisa and husband Martin Urbach of Oceanside, Calif., son Shane Brown of Escondido, Calif., grandson Christian Urbach;  sisters, Anice, of Alaska, and LouAnn Holton of Minn.; sister-in-law Susan Brown, and brothers-in-law, Malcom (Janette) Eddy and Steve (Sherrie) Eddy.  Ron is also survived by his extended family: stepdaughter Lori (Victor) Galvan and grandsons Chase and Garrett; stepson Andy (Yolanda) Anderson, and grandchildren Andrew (Vanessa) Anderson, Therisa Anderson, Heather, Randall, Tommy Norris, Christian (Brittany) Anderson and Joshua Anderson, as well as many great-grandchildren and other relatives.
