Bernadine T. “Bunny” (Vorachek) Mahon, age 73, of East Grand Forks, MN passed away on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Bunny was born on August 17, 1941 to the late Emmett and Margaret (Hodny) Vorachek in Grand Forks, ND. She grew up in Lankin, ND and graduated from Lankin High School. She then attended Mayville State Teacher’s College earning a Bachelor of Science with majors in Business and English, and a minor in Music. She then taught in Sharon, ND and Osnabrock, ND before moving to Grand Forks and working for Boeing at the Grand Forks Air Force Base. She married Kenneth Mahon and moved to Bloomington, MN for a time until she returned to East Grand Forks in 2001 where she was a very active member of the community.
Bunny is survived by her sister, Lynette (Michael) O’Linn of New Baltimore, MI and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Kenny.
