Floyd Bernard Olson of Roosevelt entered into Glory on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at
2.00 P.M. at Warroad Senior Living, Warroad MN. Services will be as follows;
Visitation will be on Tuesday June 2nd, 2015 from 5.00 P.M to 7.00 P.M. at Helgeson
Funeral Home in Warroad and services will be at the Warroad Baptist Church in
Warroad, MN on Wednesday June at 2 P.M. Interment will be at the Roosevelt
Silent City Cemetery in Roosevelt, MN.
Floyd was born in Roseau, MN on September 30, 1936 to Edith and Leonard Olson.
He attended school in a country school and Roseau, M.N. He worked for the Roseau
and Lake of the Woods Highway Department until 1994 when he retired. Floyd was
an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, snowmobiling, travelling,
woodworking, music, storytelling and having fun with his grand children. He was
also a real prankster.
He is survived by his wife Marlene, of 55 years, his children Lance, Sherry, Kevin,
and Cindy, and 12 grandchildren, and 10 great grand children, his sister Helen
Baggett [San Diego, CA) and brothers Dwayne (Hibbing, MN], and Gary (Roseau,
