Lowell L. Cedergren, age 87 of Emerado, ND passed away on Monday, June 29th, 2015 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Lowell Leonard Cedergren was born on February 21, 1928 in Orleans, MN the son of Fred and Esther (Hanson) Cedergren. Lowell grew up and attended school in Lancaster, MN where he graduated from Lancaster High School. Following his high school graduation he joined the United States Army. On February 5, 1959 he was united in marriage to Alvina Gardner at St. Anne’s Church in St. Vincent, MN. He worked as an electrician for Koop Electric and then owned and operated Cedergren Electric in Kittson Count, MN. In 1989 they moved to Northwood, ND and then in 1998 they moved to Emerado, ND and resided there until the time of his death.
Loving family members of Lowell include his wife of 56 years, Alvina Cedergren of Emerado, ND; children, Christine (Roger) Moore of Northwood, ND, Michael (Elaine) Copeland of Leander, TX, Charlotte Sjostrand (Dawn Thompson) of East Grand Forks, MN and Mark Cedergren of Emerado, ND; siblings, Marilyn (Bill) Beck of Ottertail, MN, Shirley Homstead of Lancaster, MN and Curtis (Connie) Cedergren of Ottertail, MN; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Lowell is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Russell and sisters, Ruth, Delsie and Alice.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Friday, July 3, 2015 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 200 3rd St. NW, East Grand Forks, MN.
Visitation: One Hour Prior Funeral Service on Friday, July 3, 2015 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Interment: Riverview Cemetery ~ Lancaster, MN.
