Margaret Cameron, 91

Margaret Cameron, age 91, of Hallock, MN died on Friday, June 24, 2015 at Kittson Memorial Healthcare Center in Hallock.  Margaret Delphine (Forfang) Cameron was born on June 18, 1924 to Egill and Irva (Stubson) Forfang in Hazelton township of Kittson County. Margaret grew up on the family farm and graduated from high school at the Northwest School of Crookston, MN in 1942. She graduated from teachers training at Moorhead State College and taught school at Karlstad, MN in the 40’s. On June 16, 1945 she was united in marriage to Emory L Cameron of rural Hallock where they lived for 52 years when they moved to Hallock. Two children were born to this union; Gary Emory Cameron and Colleen Kaye Cameron. Margaret was active in the community: she was a 4-H leader for 13 years, a member of the Hallock Presbyterian Church, where she served as an elder and sang in the choir; held office in local and county Homemakers Club. She worked at the local elementary school as a library aide for 15 years. After retirement Emory and Margaret spent 20 winters in Mesa, AZ. She enjoyed people, especially her children, grand children and great grand children. She cherished life, her faith in God, music and traveling. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Tom and Colleen Berg of Cottage Grove, MN, daughter-in-law Angelyn Cameron of Detroit Lakes, MN, grandchildren Kris Feldman (Mark) of Magnolia, TX, Kim Metzger (Tim) of Mantorville, MN, Jillayne Berg of Maplewood, MN, Erin Chamlee (Jeff) of Apple Valley, MN and Ben Cameron (Shannon) of Rochester, MN, ten great grandchildren, sisters-in-law Ardith Fillipi and Ruth Niemi and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Emory, son Gary, brother Ferdie Forfang and sister June Lund.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, August 6th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church at Hallock.  Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the funeral service.  Austin Funeral Chapel, Hallock.
