Lawrence W. Rudh, 70

Lawrence W. (Nickname “Lawr) Rudh passed away peacefully at Altru Hospital on July 3, 2015.  He was 70 years old.

(Fox) Rudh.  He grew up in Grand Forks, attending Central High School, graduating with the Class of 1962 and attended UND. He worked as a salesman

at the family furniture store Rudh Brothers Furniture in East Grand Forks.  He married Martha Cosgriff on November 25, 1983 and they later divorced.  They had three children.  He married Rebecca Anderson in 1996, they later divorced but they remained friends.

“Lawr” was an avid golfer once winning the Grand Forks Country Club Championship. He loved playing at the Pine to Palm Golf Course in Detroit Lakes and played in their annual tournament for many years.  He spent many summers on Lake Melissa near his family.  He also enjoyed traveling, music, sports of all kinds, and was an avid Fighting Sioux hockey fan.  He kept up on all current events, and enjoyed many political discussions with his quick mind and attention to detail. It was hard to win a political debate with him as he had all the facts and figures at his fingertips.  He always had a dog at his side and was very kind hearted love toward all animals.  Lawr had many blessings in his life, but also many challenges and his journey was sometimes quite difficult.  He has found peace from all of his sorrows now.
