Ida M. Murach, 89, of Grafton and formerly of Hallock, Minnesota passed away at McIntosh Senior Living in McIntosh, Minnesota on Sunday, August 2, 2015. Ida Mae Lietz was born at Bagley, Minnesota on September 1, 1925 the daughter of John and Edith Leitz. She grew up near Bagley and attended country school. In 1943 she married Harry Murach at Bagley and lived there until 1957 when the moved to Fosston, Minnesota. In 1971 they moved to Stephen, Minnesota and to Hallock in 1975. Ida worked at the Kittson Memorial Nursing Home and at Arctic Cat in Karlstad, Minnesota. Harry passed away on February 4, 1998. Ida was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Hallock.
Ida is survived by a son, Harry (Dianne) Murach, Inman, SC; daughters, Mary Kroening, Fosston, MN, Vonnie (Glenn) Daley, Grafton and Susie (Tim) Anderson, Grand Forks, ND; 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; a brother, Tommy Lietz, Northwood, ND and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Bud and Johnny; and sisters, Sis, Jenny, Reenie, Mary, Grace and Alice.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Hallock. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Hallock. Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the service. Fr. Craig Vasek, presiding; Sharlene Klegstad, organist and Emily Kuzel, soloist. Casket bearers will be Ida’s grandchildren.
