Memorial services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, October 23, 2015, at the Faith Baptist Church in Bemidji, Minnesota.  Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m., with a time of sharing at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2015, at the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji, and one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be at the Alaska Township Cemetery under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

He was born on March 2, 1972, in Bemidji, the son of Mike Claypool and Dorothy (Schultz) Claypool.  He attended Bemidji High School until the 12th Grade, and later finished with his GED.  He married Lauri Praska on May 18, 1991, at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Badger, MN.

They were a team from the beginning to the end, best friends and best co-workers; there was rarely a time you ever saw them apart.  From being the only ones standing in line for the new iPhone, to traveling across country in the truck, they never grew tired of each other.

Evan started his working career as a young boy working for his Grandpa Schultz as a gopher.  “Evan go get this, Evan go get that!”  At the age of 17 he started working at Hardees.  He worked there for about four years.  He then went on to be a route salesman for Metz Baking Company, delivering bread to stores.  He did this for about five years.  From there he decided to pursue a career in driving truck, which he and Lauri have been doing together for the past 17 years, driving team.  The last 15 years they have been with Halvor Lines in Superior, Wisconsin.  He enjoyed snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, camping, hunting and visiting with friends and family.  He had the gift of gab and made friends wherever he went.

He is survived by his brothers, Cort (Joyce) Claypool, Ken (Wanda) Roff, Tim (JoAnne) Roff; sister Andrea (Travis) Haefner and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy, grandparents Grandpa and Grandma Schultz, Grandma and Granddad Claypool, and Grandpa and Grandma Erickson.
