Ted L. Pond, 85

Ted L. Pond died November 12, 2015, at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. 
He was born in 1930 and served for 22 years in the United States Army from the South Pacific to Europe to Korea and Vietnam. He earned three Bronze Stars, one Air Medal, four Army Commendation Medals, one Armed Forces Honor Medal and many others during his tours. 
Ted was active in Rotary International, a proud member of the Waianae, Hawaii, club for 38 years.  He participated in the East Grand Forks Rotary Club each summer for more than 30 years. He was also active in the VFW. 

Ted and his wife Rita (Sullivan) Pond made their home in Hawaii. Rita survives him as do his sons (Carl F. K. Pond and Ted L. Pond Jr.) and two daughters Nakai (Pond) Waynick and Lisa Uelani (Pond) King. Fourteen grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson also survive him. 

Ted was creamated and a family and miliary send-off will be held at a future date in the Waianae Army Recreation Center on the ocean.
