proceedings november 4, 2015
A special meeting of the Board of Education, Independent School District #595, East Grand Forks, Minnesota was held on Wednesday, November 4, at 1:30 p.m. at the Senior High School.
Board Chair Palmiscno called the meeting to order.
Board members present: Black, Palmiscno, Piche, Simonson, Thompson, Useldinger
Simonson moved that the school board move to a closed session as per MS 13D.05, Subd. 3 – Performance Evaluation of Superintendent David Pace.  Thompson seconded the motion.  The motion was carried and the meeting will move to a closed session.
Black moved to reopen the board meeting.  Simonson seconded the motion.  The motion was carried and the meeting moved to open session.
Simonson moved to adjourn the meeting at 3:19 p.m.  Piche seconded the motion.  The motion was carried.

The regular meeting of the Board of Education, Independent School District #595, East Grand Forks, Minnesota was held on Monday, November 9, 2015, at 5:30 p.m. at the Senior High School.
Board Chair Palmiscno called the meeting to order.
Board members present: Black, Palmiscno, Piche, Simonson, Thompson, and Useldinger
Board member absent: None
Simonson moved to approve the agenda as presented.   Useldinger seconded the motion.  The motion was carried.
Thompson moved to approve the minutes of the regular school board meeting held on October 26, 2015. Piche seconded the motion.  The motion was carried.
Simonson moved to accept the resignation of Cindy Nix, food service, effective June 30, 2016.  Useldinger seconded the motion.  The motion was carried.
Simonson moved to accept the resignation of David Pace, Superintendent, effective June 30, 2016.  Useldinger seconded the motion.  The motion was carried.
Piche moved to hire the following people:
Jennifer Milling, Food Service6 hours/day beginning November 4, 2015
Roland Webster, Food Service6 hours/day beginning November 17, 2015
Simonson seconded the motion.  The motion was carried.
Thompson moved to hire the following coaches for the 2015-16 winter season:
Travis Lindgrenhead boys’ basketball
Josh Perkerewicz assistant boys’ basketball
Tim Friez 9th grade boys’ basketball
Justin Larson 8th grade boys’ basketball
J Flermoen 7th grade boys’ basketball
Mike Mahar 7th grade boys’ basketball
Jay Frydenlundhead girls’ basketball
Durene Frydenlundassistant girls’ basketball
Kyle Hanson 7th grade girls’ basketball – 50%
Ben Hellekson 7th grade girls’ basketball – 50%

Useldinger seconded the motion.  The motion was carried.
Thompson moved to approve a family medical leave of absence for Richard Homstad, bus driver, for the remainder of the 2015-16 school year.  Piche seconded the motion.  The motion was carried.
Useldinger moved to approve the miscellaneous payments for the October 28, 2015, payroll in the amount of $11,917.31.  The consent agendas are on file in the Superintendent’s Office.   Piche seconded the motion.  The motion was carried.
Simonson moved to approve the following donations to the school district:

Piche moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:10 p.m.  Thompson seconded the motion.  The motion was carried.
