Marilyn J. Rudd

A Funeral Service for Marilyn J. Rudd of Baudette, MN will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 10:00AM at First Lutheran Church in Baudette, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Marilyn Joan (Miller) Rudd was born on August 10th, 1936 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to John and Ethel Miller. She was baptized as an infant and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Baudette, Minnesota in 1972.

 

Her early life was spent in Blair, Nebraska and she attended grade and high school in El Dorado Springs, Missouri. In 1956 she married Curt in Omaha, Nebraska. Curt and Marilyn had two sons, Ron and Scott. As an Air Force wife, she made a home in Nebraska, Missouri, Alabama, Mississippi, Hawaii, Wisconsin and in 1972 her family settled in Baudette, Minnesota. Marilyn worked in various departments in the hospital in Baudette and retired in 1996. After retirement she enjoyed traveling, fishing, golfing, playing cards, gardening and following her grandchildren in their sport activities. She was also a Minnesota Twins fan, rarely missing a game on TV. She was an animal lover, particularly dogs. She enjoyed volunteering time with the activities of the women of the First Lutheran Church.

Marilyn passed away on December 5th, 2015 at Sanford Hospital in Bemidji, Minnesota surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her husband Curt, two sons Ron (Janet) of Baudette, Minnesota and Scott of Hudson Wisconsin. Grandchildren Corey (Rosalynn) of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Danielle of Baudette, Minnesota and Angela of Woodbury, Minnesota. Great grandchildren Hudson and Henrik of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Sister Juanita Jones of Omaha and brother John “Junior” Miller of Mechanicsville, Virginia.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Oliver Miller, Bonnie Hendricks and Gene Miller.
