Donna Mae Ruth Rambeck Kraulik Brevik died peacefully at home on March 23, 2016 in Donaldson, Minnesota at the age of 89.
Donna was born on May 15, 1926 in Reynolds, North Dakota to Irving and Esther Weigel Rambeck. After attending school in Reynolds, she worked for area farm families and at the Bathgate State School for the Blind. She married Kenneth Kraulik in 1953 and they farmed near Donaldson until Kenneth’s death in 1973. Donna married Clifford Brevik of Halma in 1979 and later moved to Stephen after Clifford’s death in 2007.
Donna is survived by her children and their spouses: Kurt & Lisa Kraulik, Ryan Kraulik, Kathleen Kraulik & Greg Johnson, Randolph Kraulik, and Scott Kraulik; and by her grandchildren: Sarah, Nathan, Kimberly, Kia, Samantha, and Karissa. She is also survived by her brother, Vincent Rambeck, several great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Olaf Lutheran Church at Donaldson, with visitation one hour prior to the service. A time of fellowship will be held at the church following the service. Rev. Bill Nixon, presiding; Kathleen Kraulik, organist and Greg Johnson, soloist. Honorary casket bearers will be Nathan Kraulik, Gary Gorvin, Ted Juhl, Lindon Juhl, Greg Johnson, Doug Rambeck, Neal Rambeck and Bill Kemp. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Donna’s life. The family would like to thank all the caregivers at Altru Hospital and Valley Elder Care in Grand Forks, Kittson County Memorial Nursing Home, and Kittson County Hospice.
