Beverly Ardis (Schroeder) Vidden, age 79

Beverly Ardis (Schroeder) Vidden, age 79, of East Grand Forks, MN, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015 at the Villa St. Vincent in Crookston, MN.

Bev was born on November 21, 1936 in Mallory, MN to the late John and Emma (Butenhoff) Schroeder.  She was raised in Mallory, MN and attended country school there until 8th grade. She then graduated from high school in Crookston, MN and afterwards attended Bill’s Hair College.  On November 23, 1957 she was united in marriage to Milton Vidden in Fisher, MN.  Throughout her career she worked at Frank’s Café, Altru Hospital, Ben Franklin, and owned and operated Bev’s Beauty Nook for over 20 years.  She was also very active with the ladies auxiliary of the East Grand Forks VFW and American Legion holding the position of Secretary and then Auxiliary President at different times.

Bev is survived by her 4 sons, Bruce Vidden of Detroit Lakes, MN; Bryan (Anna) Vidden of Fargo, ND; Burt Vidden of East Grand Forks, MN; and Bradley Vidden of  East Grand Forks, MN; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Eleanor Lee of Park River, ND; Leona (Lonnie) Sibbett of Jackson, MI; Karen (Gary) Barrious of San Jose, CA; Viola (James) Brime of Farmington, MO; brother, John Schroeder of Grand Forks, ND; and niece Wanda Silvia of Canton, MI; as well as many more nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Vidden; parents, John and Emma Schroeder; brothers, Melbourne and Theodore Schroeder; and grandson, Christopher Vidden.

Funeral Service:  10:30 am ~ Friday, December 4, 2015 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church 1515 5th Ave NW East Grand Forks, MN 56721. 

Visitation: 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm ~ Thursday, November 3, 2015 at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave NW, East Grand Forks, MN 56721 with a prayer service at 6:30 pm.

Interment:  Resurrection Cemetery ~ East Grand Forks, MN
