Veronica Hussey Bulger, age 95, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks, ND.
Veronica Jean Jeffrey was born on April 18, 1920 in East Grand Forks, MN to the late John and Alice (Gauthier) Jeffrey. She was raised and went to school in East Grand Forks, MN. She was married on April 21, 1942 to Norman Hussey at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in East Grand Forks, MN. The couple was married for 33 years. She worked at various places throughout her career but the most memorable were Munns Jewelry and the YMCA. It was there that she made her famous caramel rolls. She was then married to Wallace Bulger in 1978 in Las Vegas, NV. They were married for 22 years before his death. They both loved to dance, make crafts, play cards, and to travel, but most of all she just loved to have her whole family together.
Veronica is survived by her children, MyrnaRae (Leon) Parker of Mobile, AL; Jeffrey (Shirley) Hussey of Grand Forks, ND; Tim (Linda) Hussey of East Grand Forks, MN; Cheryle Bergland of West Fargo, ND; and Cynthia (Roy) Milligan of Farmingville, NY; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Duane (Anna Mae) Jeffrey of East Grand Forks, MN; sisters, Rosalie Peterson of Crookston, MN; Betty Ann Hecht of Grand Forks, ND; and Jean (Bill) Bagley of Las Vegas, NV; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Wallace Bulger; parents, John and Alice Jeffrey; brothers, Vincent, Ardell, and Donald Jeffrey; and sisters, LaVern and Linda Jeffrey, and Ethel Gregoire.
In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to the Sacred Heart Scholarship Fund in memory of Veronica Hussey Bulger.
