Board of Education, Independent School District #595, East Grand Forks, Minnesota proceedings march 28, 2016 (0513)

The regular meeting of the Board of Education, Independent School District #595, East Grand Forks, Minnesota was held on Monday, March 28, 2016, at 5:30 p.m. at the Senior High School.
Vice Board Chair Simonson called the meeting to order.
Board members present: Black, Piche, Simonson, Thompson, and Useldinger
Board members absent: Palmiscno
Black moved to approve the agenda as presented.  Useldinger seconded the motion.  The motion was carried.
Black moved to approve the minutes of the regular School Board meeting held on March 14, 2016.  Piche seconded the motion.  The motion was carried.
Piche moved to approve the Senior High Developmental Design estimated budget and according plans presented by JLB in the amount of $20,716.321.95.  Useldinger seconded the motion.  The motion was carried.
Thompson moved to accept the following resignations:
Shari Jones, Food Service effective March 16, 2016
Meredith Egeland, Speech Pathologist effective June 2, 2016
Maria Miles, Paraprofessional effective May 29, 2016
Shelley Bares, Music Teacher effective at the end of the 2015-16 school year
Richard Hagen, Custodian effective March 24, 2016
Thompson seconded the motion.  The motion was carried
Thompson moved that Karla Afshari be reassigned to accounts payable beginning March 21, 2016.  Black seconded the motion.  The motion was carried.
Piche moved to approve the miscellaneous payments for the March 13, 2016, payroll in the amount of $19,076.80.  The consent agenda is on file in the Superintendent’s Office.  Black seconded the motion.  The motion was carried.
Piche moved to accept the following donations:

Useldinger seconded the motion.  The motion was carried.
Black moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:21 p.m.  Useldinger seconded the motion.  The motion was carried.
