Dwayne Bruce Undeberg

Dwayne Bruce Undeberg, the son of the late H.T. and Pearl ((Boyd) Undeberg, was born on August 6, 1945, at Hallock, MN.  He attended school at Halma and Karlstad and was baptized and confirmed at Eidsvold Lutheran Church in Halma.  Dwayne served with the U.S. Army from 1964 until discharge in 1967.  He attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis for welding and was employed as a welder at Polaris Industries at Roseau for 20 years.  On July 4, 1998, he married Wanda Foster on their farm near Halma and they has since made their home there.  Dwayne was a long-time member of the Halma-Lake Bronson American Legion Post #315.  He loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, hunting and time with family and friends, and was a great joke teller.  Dwayne passed away following a brief battle with cancer on Sunday morning, May 29, 2016, at Kittson Memorial Nursing Center in Hallock at the age of 70 years, 9 months and 23 days.


   He is survived by his wife, Wanda;  3 daughters: Marsha (Jeff) Nuesbaumer, of Littleton, CO, Karla (Sam Preston, of North Mankato, MN and Gloria (Todd) Clow, of Wasilla, AK;  4 step-sons: Evan (Lori) Foster, of Greenbush, MN, Cheryl (Mark) Larson, of Bullhead City, AZ, Jody Foster (fiancé Joe Kast), of Columbia Heights, MN and Jeremy (Brandi) Foster, of Saulk Rapids, MN;  17 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; one brother” Dwight (Sharon) Undeberg, of Lake Bronson; one sister: Paulette (John Velie) Kowalewski, of Minneapolis;  brother-in-law: Robin Swanson, of Karlstad;  in addition to many nieces, nephews and other relatives.


   Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Colleen Swanson, 2 half-sisters: Elly Augustin and Cordelia DeLisle, and half-brother: Helmer Undeberg.
