Ralph (Nick) Nicholas
Ralph (Nick) Nicholas passed peacefully at his Cortland, New York home surrounded by his family on August 10, 2016. Born July 25, 1941 to Jean Kidd and John Chester Nicholas. He professed his faith in God and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Ralph met the love of his life and in 1968 and was married to Janice Nelson who proceeded Ralph in 2002.
Seventy five years of happiness and spontaneity, Ralph resided in Williams, Minnesota for 13 plus years, where he was dedicated to family, work and community. Demonstrated his commitment to the people of Williams as the Mayor and a volunteer of the Fire Department. While in Williams, Ralph worked for Marvin Windows as a truck driver, salesman and eventually retired as the 1st General Manager of Marvin Windows New York. He was a regular at local hockey games and was also a Squirt and Mite coach. His passions were his family, playing his guitar and Elvis Presley.
Ralph is survived by his children Scott (Jan) Oseid, Vincent (Kwynn) Nicholas, Shelley (Bill Cartwright) Johansen, Tod Oseid, Timothy (Brenda Zachary) Oseid, and Julie Hines. Grandchildren Chad Robertson, Shauna Newgard, Sarah Olson, Bryan Hartman, Desiree Oseid, Rory Hines, Kora Hines and TJ Oseid. Ralph is also survived by six great grandchildren, sisters Betty and Ann and his brother Gordon.
