Merlyn J. Rubash, age 74 of Grand Forks, ND, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.
Merlyn John Rubash was born on December 23, 1941 in Lakota, ND, the son of Anton and Laura (Foote) Rubash. Merlyn grew up in Grand Forks and graduated from East Grand Forks Senior High School. Merlyn worked on local farms before moving to Wisconsin where he managed a gas station. He owned and operated a roofing company in Waupaca, WI. He married Alice Nelson on February 14, 1971 in Milwaukee, WI. He moved back to Grand Forks in 1987 and worked for American Woods/Wood Products.
Family members who survive Merlyn include his children, Scott (Angie) Rubash of Grand Forks, ND; Tim Rubash of Waupaca, WI; Kristi Rubash of Warren, MN; Bryan (Tori) Rubash of Clintonville, WI; Lori Olson of Grand Forks, ND; and Robbie Olson of Waupaca, WI; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Glenda Rubash of East Grand Forks, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 17, 2016 in Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN.
Visitation: One Hour Prior Memorial Service on Saturday in Dahl Funeral Home.
Interment: Memorial Park South Cemetery ~ Grand Forks, ND
