James “Red” Elvin Bilden, 86
James “Red” Elvin Bilden, 86, of East Grand Forks, MN, died Sunday, March 5, 2017, at the Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks, ND.
Red was born August 23, 1930, in Northwood, ND, the son of Elvin and Gerturude (Kulseth) Bilden. He grew up in Loretta Township in Grand Forks County and graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1948. He married Sylvia Rud on June 27, 1964, in Pelican Rapids, MN. He worked for Strata Corporation and Grand Forks Surplus Center in Grand Forks from 1975 until retiring in 1995.
He is survived by his wife Sylvia of East Grand Forks, daughter Kirsten (Ahmed) Shah of Apple Valley, MN, foster daughter Maria (Juan) Morales of San Antonio, TX, 3 grandchildren, Amaan Shah, Chantell (David) Evers, Cheria Doleman and 1 great granddaughter Aria Evers. He is preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church or Valley Eldercare are requested.
Memorial Service: 2:30 PM, Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, East Grand Forks, MN.
Visitation: One hour prior Memorial Service, Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the church.
