Board of Education, Independent School District #595, East Grand Forks, Minnesota proceedings february 27, 2017 The regular meeting of the Board of Education, Independent School District #595, East Grand Forks, Minnesota was held on Monday, February 27, 2017, at 5:30 p.m. at the Senior High School. Board Chair Simonson called the meeting to order. Board members present: Black, Boespflug, Piche, Simonson, Thompson, Useldinger Board members absent: None Piche moved to approve the agenda as presented with the following changes and/or additions: Treasurer’s Report – DELETE Boespflug seconded the motion. The motion was carried. Piche moved to approve the minutes of the regular School Board meeting held on February 13, 2017. Black seconded the motion. The motion was carried. Thompson moved to accept the following resignations: Erin Martinez, Paraprofessional effective February 14, 2017 Shannon Knutson, ECFE Teacher effective March 30, 2017 Marjorie Toren, Math Teacher effective September 15, 2017 Diane Mero, NH Food Service effective May 16, 2017 Olivia Lighthizer, NH Food Service effective May 16, 2017 Boespflug seconded the motion. The motion was carried. Boespflug moved to hire the following people: Said Farah, Bus Driver beginning February 14, 2017 Beth Nasset, NH Paraprofessional 4 hours per day beginning February 21, 2017 Black seconded the motion. The motion was carried. Piche moved that the contract of Matt Stengl, boys’ head soccer coach, not be renewed for the 2017-18 season. Thompson seconded the motion. The motion was carried. Thompson moved to approve the miscellaneous payments for the February 13, 2017, payroll in the amount of $21,903.46. The consent agenda is on file in the Superintendent’s Office. Simonson seconded the motion. The motion was carried. Piche moved to accept the following donations: Donation From: Donation To: For: Amount EGF Education Foundation New Heights Katie Nelson 434.37 Galstad, Jensen, & McCann CMS Wolf Ridge 25.00 EGF Blue Line Club CMS Wolf Ridge 600.00 TOTAL DONATIONS $1,059.37 Useldinger seconded the motion.
