Patricia “Pat” Ann Haire, 84
Patricia “Pat” Ann Haire, 84, Fertile, MN, died Thursday, March 16, 2017, at the Fair Meadow Nursing Home, Fertile, MN. Pat was born on November 18, 1932, to Rudolph and Jessie (Sturtevant) Converse at Laconia, NH. She attended school in Meredith, NH, graduating from Inter-Lakes High School in 1950. Pat attended Berkshire Christian College in Brookline, MA, where she met Chester Haire. On August 25, 1951, Pat was united in marriage to Chet at Meredith, NH. They lived East in Bridgewater, MA, before moving to Meredith. Pat cared for her family, as well as loving foster children who were blessed to live with Pat and Chet. In 1973, they moved to a farm in rural Halma, MN, where Pat served as a day care provider. In 1997, they moved to rural Fertile and in 1999, due to declining health, Pat entered the Fair Meadow Nursing Home. In her free time, Pat loved to sew, crochet, work puzzles, play games and garden. Her cooking skills were terrific, especially her strawberry short cake. What was most noticed to those who knew Pat was her genuine loving heart. It was clearly observed in her servant spirit, gracious character, and willingness to pour herself into others lives. This was possible because of the tremendous devotion and love she had for her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. Pat is survived by her husband, Chet, Fertile, MN; children: James (Letty), Brooks, MN; David (Sharon), Moultonboro, NH; Tom (Debbie), Bartlett, NH; Wendy (Kevin) Larson, Fertile, MN; Anne Haire, MA; Charles Haire, Minneapolis, MN; and Peter, Inver Grove Heights, MN; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; siblings: Jean Juraska, Crystal River, FL; Marjorie Geery, Laconia, NH; Doris (Paul) Packard, Lincolnville, ME; and Kenneth (Betty) Converse, Ashland, NH. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Terry Lee, grandchildren: Anna and Joshua Larson, one brother, Donald Davis and one sister, Joan Roberts. Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Friday, March 24, 2017, at Resurrection Free Lutheran Church, Beltrami, MN.
