Kaitlynn Wilson to be recognized with teacher education award

Greenbush, Minn., native Kaitlynn Wilson will be recognized with an award at the North Dakota Association for Colleges of Teacher Education (NDACTE) annual conference and luncheon on Friday, April 7 at Minot State University.

A Mayville State University student and 2012 Greenbush-Middle River graduate, Wilson heard this news after Mayville State faculty in the Division of Education recognized her as an outstanding teacher education candidate and/or 2016-2017 graduate in teacher education.

All North Dakota universities are represented at this conference, as each one selects nominees for this award. Mayville State will present three award winners for the 2016-17 academic year, including Wilson for Elementary Education and a candidate for each Secondary Education and Early Childhood Education. This conference will include a keynote speaker and professional student presentations.

The daughter of Julie Undeberg and Jon Westling of Greenbush, Wilson is double majoring in Elementary Education and Special Education and is graduating this spring with highest honors from Mayville State.
