Bronsonfest begins August 4-5
All roads lead to Lake Bronson this weekend for the annual BronsonFest.
The events will begin Friday evening with the annual “Cruise-See-‘Em at the Museum” car show and picnic supper from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Kittson County Historical Society Museum. Trophies will be awarded for People’s Choice at the car show. The conclusion of the event will be a parade through Lake Bronson State Park at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, August 5, the all day events include flea markets, food trucks, and a petting zoo.
The Museum “Silent Auction” fundraiser will be held from 11 to 2 p.m.
At 11 a.m., head to the ball field for the ping pong drop. Then take in the Kids’ 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament, also at the ball field.
Compete in the Nickel Scramble at 11:45 a.m. next to the post office.
The American Legion Auxiliary will be serving bbqs, beans and potato salad from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Then head to the Community Center for the Zion Lutheran Church’s Pie and Ice Cream Social from 1-4 p.m.
At 1 p.m., bring your kids to the Village Square for the Bicycle Decorating Contest, with categories for ages 3-12 and 13-18.
The parade begins at 2 p.m. in downtown Lake Bronson.
Bingo starts at 2:30 p.m. at the Village Square. Then come on out to play Chicken Poop Bingo at 3:30 p.m.
Old time music begins at 4 p.m. in the Village Square. Also in the afternoon will be a 50/50 drawing, and then the chili cookoff will begin at 4:30 p.m.
Come on out to the pork loin dinner from 5-7 p.m. in the Village Square.
Then at 9 p.m., come for another 50/50 drawing, plus the street dance begins, featuring “Catalyst” on First Avenue.
Take the family and head to BronsonFest 2017 on August 4-5.
