Notice of DNR Land Sale in Roseau (MN) County

NOTICE OF HEARING ON SALE OF STATE LAND
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, section 97 A.135, subd. 2a, a hearing will be held by the Department of Natural Resources, at the Roseau County Board Room at the County Courthouse, 606 5th Ave SW, Roseau, MN 56751, on November 1, 2019, at 2:00 p.m.
The purpose of the hearing is for public input regarding the sale of state land situated in the County of Roseau, Minnesota, and described as:
The Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 21, Township 162 North, Range 36 West.
Minnesota Statutes, section 97 A.135, subd. 2a, requires that a public hearing be held before lands within a Wildlife Management Area can be disposed of through sale or exchange.
The parcel is designated as part of the East Branch Wildlife Management Area.
It is proposed that this parcel of land be offered for sale by Roseau County in a public sale pursuant to Laws of Minnesota 2017, chapter 54, section 24. This parcel is no longer needed for public purposes. If, after public hearing, the disposal of the land is in the public interest, the Commissioner of Natural Resources may vacate the Wildlife Management Area designation for this parcel.

It is proposed that this parcel of land be offered for sale by Roseau County in a private sale pursuant to Laws of Minnesota 2017, chapter 54, section 24. This parcel is no longer needed for public purposes. If, after public hearing, the disposal of the land is in the public interest, the Commissioner of Natural Resources may vacate the Wildlife Management Area designation for this parcel.

Minnesota Statutes, section 97 A.135, subd. 2a, requires that a public hearing be held before lands within a Wildlife Management Area can be disposed of through sale or exchange.
The parcels are designated as part of the Skime Wildlife Management Area.
It is proposed that these parcels of land be offered for sale by Roseau County in a private sale pursuant to Laws of Minnesota 2017, chapter 54, section 24. These parcels are no longer needed for public purposes. If, after public hearing, the disposal of the land is in the public interest, the Commissioner of Natural Resources may vacate the Wildlife Management Area designation from these parcels.
