Nancy Kay (Oistad) Makowski , 71
Nancy Kay (Oistad) Makowski died peacefully from complications of Alzheimer’s, on November 4, 2019, at the age of 71.
Nancy was born to Oliver & Beverly Oistad on August 13, 1948. She graduated from Argyle High School in 1966. She went on to get her degree in education from Bemidji State College.
After graduation she was united in marriage to John J. Makowski. They were blessed with three daughters over the years.
Nancy is survived by her husband, John, Portland, Ml. Daughter, Beth (William) Shell, and grandson, Jack, Ada, Ml. Daughter, Sarah (Jason) Fox, and grandson’s Connor and Paxton, Portland, Ml. One sister, Jean (Gary) Oen of Warroad, MN and many nieces, nephews and cousins that all loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by infant daughter, Jennifer and her parents and grandparents, Fred and Elaine Craik.
Mass of Christian burial was held November 7, 2019 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Portland, MI.
