United Free Lutheran church in Greenbush hosting free Thanksgiving Day dinner
Everyone is invited to come and join us at United Free Lutheran Church at 845 Old Ridge Road, Greenbush, Minn., for a FREE Thanksgiving Day Dinner on Thursday, November 28, 2019. Serving runs from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Freewill offerings not accepted.
Church deacon Matt Green shared the reason for this Thanksgiving dinner invitation…
“We’ve been blessed beyond measure here at United Free! We have a loving Savior, a compassionate new pastor and wife, a church family who’s there for one another, a beautiful facility, and so much more; so why not thank God for what He’s given us and share it with the community? It’s a way to pour out the love of God towards others and be the hands and feet of Jesus while serving a meal to them. Some may be alone, not have family here, or have lost a spouse, while others maybe can’t afford it, and some maybe can’t do the work anymore. Whatever the reason, it doesn’t matter. It’s a service to the community and we get to imitate Christ Jesus!”
“We love because He first loved us.”— I John 4:19
On the menu will be turkey and ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, corn, cranberries, dinner rolls, desserts, coffee, lemonade, and water.
