Gator Football recognized at Top of the State Conference Football Banquet

By virtue of finishing at the top of its nine-man football conference, the Gator Football program had the opportunity to host the Top of the State Conference Football Banquet on Monday, November 4 at the Greenbush American Legion. This conference includes: the Gators, Stephen-Argyle Central, Warren-Alvarado-Oslo, Kittson County Central, Goodridge/Grygla-Gatzke, Northern Freeze, and Clearbrook-Gonvick.

Following the meal that began at 5 pm, guest speaker Daniel Polansky, a former North Dakota State University wide receiver originally from Gatzke, Minn., spoke at the banquet. The night then concluded with awards.

Numerous Gators earned all-conference awards, as listed below.

All-Conference: Andy Dostal, Kaden Opdahl, Zach Evans, and Jacob Bergsnev

All- Conference Honorable Mention: Kasen Swenson and Kyle Stauffenecker

The annual BGMR Fall Sports Banquet, recognizing the Gator volleyball team, football team, and fall cheer team, will take place at the Badger School on Thursday, November 21 at 6:30 pm.
