LaVonne Johnson, 83 of Strandquist passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Pastor Kevin Brown Officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.
LaVonne Pearl Johnson was born June 28, 1936 at Strandquist, MN daughter of Peter E. and Pearl E. (Vagle) Thompson. She was raised and attended school at Strandquist graduating in 1954.
LaVonne was united in marriage to Jack Resech December of 1955 in Minneapolis, MN. She was later married to Dudley Johnson in the spring of 1963 at Watertown, MN.
She was a stay at home mom who loved to travel, enjoyed taking long walks, working crossword puzzles, playing cards esp. Pinnochle and Inspiration. She would help family whenever they needed help. When Brian was in the service she moved to Germany while he was stationed there. Most of all she loved and enjoyed spending time with her family.
LaVonne is survived by her children Debbie (Mike) Evans of Lino Lakes, MN and Brian Johnson of Strandquist, MN; grandchildren Kelly (Brent) Flaten, Lisa (Jamie) Vait, John Bruggeman, Ryan Evans, Eric Evans; great-grandchildren Joshua Bruggeman, Alyssa (Eddie) Bruggeman, Alanna Larson, Alexis Larson, Jack Flaten, Connie Vait and Debbie Vait; great-great-grandchildren Brooklynn Bruggeman and Kaston Flacksbarth; brother David (Phaela) Thompson of Hemet, CA and sister Rebecca (Danny) Johnson of Strandquist, MN along with many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Connie Resech, parents Peter and Pearl Thompson, brother Gene Thompson and sister Sherrie Stewart.
