Lois Pantzer, 90

Lois Pantzer, 90, of Hallock, Minnesota passed away at Kittson Memorial Healthcare Center on Sunday, November 10, 2019.  Lois was born June 13, 1929 in Grafton, North Dakota to Merlyn and Alice (Welter) Dipple.  As a child she moved with her family to Hallock, Minnesota.  Lois grew up in Hallock and graduated from Hallock High School in 1948.  She went on to attend Bemidji State Teachers College.  On June 14, 1953 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Pantzer at Stephen, Minnesota.  Lois and Kenneth settled on the family farm near Kennedy, Minnesota.  They resided there until 1967 when they moved into Hallock. Lois worked at Hallock Dry-Cleaners part- time for several years. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church; Royal neighbors of America; Two River Homemakers Club; Two River 4-H Club where she was a leader for several years and the Whist Club.  Lois enjoyed knitting and ceramics.
She is survived by sons, Bruce (Virginia) Pantzer, Grand Forks, ND and Brian (Linda) Pantzer, Cheney, WA; a daughter, Barbara Pantzer, Hallock; grandchildren, Jennifer Pantzer, Grand Forks, Alice (Lincoln) Scott, Grand Forks and Margaret Pantzer, Fargo, ND; great grandsons, Noah and Cohen Scott, Grand Forks; a sister, Joyce (Dick) Pashke, Thompson, ND and  nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a brother-in-law, Ralph Turner and a nephew, Kim Turner.
The Pantzer family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Kittson Memorial Nursing Home staff for their diligent care and concern for Lois throughout her stay.  Their love and kindness was obvious and very much appreciated.  In lieu of flowers you are welcome to make donations to the “Friday Night Live’ account at Kittson Memorial Nursing Home, where Lois loved participating in special activities. Thank You.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, November 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Hallock.   Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Hallock. Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the service. Fr. Emmanuel Sylvester, presiding; Virginia Pantzer, soloist, Sharlene Klegstad, organist. Casket bearers will be Philip Muir, Paul Craigmile, Andrew Muir, Gary Johnson, Paul Johnson and Brent Johnson.  Austin Funeral Chapel, Hallock.
