Brett Evan Anderson, 39

Brett Evan Anderson, age 39, of East Grand Forks crossed over on June 15, 2021 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND. Brett was born November 8, 1981 to Roberta (Grandstrand) and Orlin Anderson. Brett grew up in Karlstad, MN, attended Tri-County Schools and graduating in 2000. During his school years he played basketball, football and was a pole vaulter. Brett had a adventurous spirit all of his life. He had a rough exterior with a heart of gold. He would give someone his last dollar if they needed it. He was mostly seen wearing the color black and said “If it was good enough for Johnny Cash, it is good enough for me.” Brett loved his time with his daughters, family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, camping, boating and motorcycles. He had a love for all kinds of music. He played guitar and sang. He especially loved singing with his daughters and friends. He had a great memory for music and movies. Brett was a funny guy from a young age and always wanted to be a stand up comedian. Brett had interest in Celtic, Scandinavian and Viking history. He was learning Swedish from his Grandmother Elaine (MorMor). Brett faced many battles in his life. He was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 8. This lead him to have many health challenges. The last 4 years have been extremely challenging being diagnosed with end stage renal failure and on dialysis. Due to a severe spinal infection Brett lost his life. Brett is survived by the two loves of his life, his daughters McCauley and Zaranna Anderson. Mother, Roberta Anderson. Father, Orlin Anderson. Sister, Magen Anderson. Nephews, Parker Anderson and Oliver Russillo. Nieces Zoe and Isabella Russillo. Grandmother, Elaine Baker. Along with many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends. Brett was proceeded in death by Grandparents Orville and Jane Anderson, Harvey Baker and Robert Grandstrand. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 28 in the style Brett would love.
