Shirley Ann Everson, 83

Shirley Ann Everson, 83, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Valley Senior Living on Columbia in Grand Forks, with her loving family by her side.

Shirley Ann (Rud) Everson was born on February 5, 1938, in Greenbush, MN, the daughter of the late Engvald & Gladys Rud.  She grew up in Greenbush, MN where she graduated from high school.

She moved to Minneapolis to work as a bookkeeper before moving back to Grand Forks, ND.

Shirley married Vernon Everson on May 12, 1962 and together they raised two daughters, Lori and Pam.

She worked for UND for many years, primarily in the Food Service Industry.

Shirley enjoyed playing cards, bingo, doing word searches, dancing but most of all spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed visits from her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Lori (Tim) Chenevert of Aitkin, MN, Pam (Sid) Mokerski, Grand Forks;  grandchildren, Katie (Jeff Hansen) Albright, Lindsey Chenevert;  great-grandchildren, Zeddicus, Illianna, Jerimiah, Aiden, Finnick, Lincoln and brother, Ernie Rud.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon and brother, Cleo “Butch” Rud.

**In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in Shirley’s name to Calvary Lutheran Church or Valley Senior Living on Columbia in Grand Forks.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 15 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Grand Forks with visitation from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service in the church.

Interment: Bethel Cemetery in Greenbush, MN.
